CHRISTMAS FLOWERS

Once again the flower group will be celebrating Christmas with flowers. We would appreciate donations to help with the cost..

Envelopes are at the back of church, please Gift Aid if possible. If anyone can help provide foliage, please let Betty Smith know. Thank you

 

FESTIVAL OF 9 LESSONS AND CAROLS

The choir has been busy preparing for this today This is a traditional service, with readings from the Authorised Version of the Bible, popular congregational carols and carols sung by the choir.

 

HELP WITH CAROL SINGING.

Stephen would be grateful for people to join the choir for carol singing in the residential homes in the parish. Wednesday this week. We are at Longfields at 11.00am. Please help us to bring some Christmas joy to the people in care in the parish.

 

CHRISTMAS DINNER

If you know anyone who is on their own on Christmas Day and would like a lunch, Elim Church is providing Christmas lunch. Please speak to Stephen if you need anymore information.

 

NOTICE FOR THE 8.00AM CONGREGATION

Please note that with the 4 other services taking place on Christmas Eve (which is this year on a Sunday) there will be NO 8.00am service on Sunday 24th December. There will be one morning service of Holy Communion at 10.00am. However, there WILL be a 1662 service of Holy Communion at 8.00am on Christmas morning, Monday 25th

 

WEEKDAY SERVICES CHRISTMAS WEEK

Please note Holy Communion on Tuesday 26th (St Stephen) is at 10.00am

(NOT 11.00am as in magazine) The service on Thursday 28th (Holy Innocents) will be as usual at 11.00am

 

ALL SAINTS ARTS FESTIVAL MAY 25TH-29TH 2018 IMPORTANT NOTICE

This is going to be a major event in the life of our parish next year, both in fundraising and bringing many visitors to our church. If it is to be a success we will need LOTS OF HELP. If you are willing to help on one of the days of the Festival, particularly with catering and stewarding, you are invited to an  Open Meeting of the hospitality committee on Tuesday 9th January in church at 2.00pm. If you cannot come to the meeting please let the churchwardens know if you will be able to help in May.

EPIPHANY CAROL SERVICE

At St Mary’s on Sunday January 7th at 6.30pm. as usual on the first Sunday of the month, there will be no evening service in All Saints.

Please keep the Ministry Team up to date on those who are housebound, ill or lonely and who might appreciate a visit. Please make us aware of any people who have not been seen in church for some time.
